The Botswana Gambling Authority Unveils its Responsible Gambling Self Help portal
The Botswana Gambling Authority recently unveiled a responsible gambling self help portal as well as the 24/7 Toll-Free Line. The portal can be accessed here https://selfhelp.gamblingauthority.co.bw/.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Hon. Mmusi Kgafela, Minister of Trade and Industry among other distinguished guests including industry leaders and regulatory bodies across Africa.
According to the Gambling Authority, the platform aims to foster responsible gambling practices and provide support to those affected.
“The event was a testament to our commitment to building a future where every individual can thrive, in alignment with Botswana’s Vision 2036 and His Excellency, President, Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi’s Reset Agenda,” said the Authority in a statement.
With the platform, the Authority not only seeks technological advancements but also paves the way for accessibility, empowerment, and inclusivity within the gambling industry.
Commenting on this, Botswana’s Gambling Authority expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their support and emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts towards responsible gambling.
