The wait is over, the 11th Annual Sports Betting East Africa+ (SBEA+) Summit 2026 officially opened this evening at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, welcoming industry leaders, operators, regulators, legal counsel and innovators from across the region for the start of a three-day gathering focused on collaboration, insight, sustainability and growth.

From the moment guests arrived, the evening unfolded into a vibrant, high-energy setting where conversations flowed easily, familiar faces reconnected, and new introductions turned into meaningful exchanges.

The SBEA+ Summit Welcoming & Awards Evening set the pace, drawing attendees into an environment where engagement felt natural and continuous, with discussions already reflecting the themes that will shape the days ahead.

At the centre of the evening was the SBEA+ 2026 Eventus Awards Ceremony, a prestigious celebration recognising the organisations and individuals contributing to operational excellence, innovation, regulatory leadership, and responsible growth across Africa’s gaming ecosystem.

Each award carried a sense of weight, recognising the work quietly driving the industry forward. The ceremony offered a fitting platform to honour achievement while reinforcing the shared direction of the market.

The evening carried forward with ongoing conversation and connection, as attendees engaged across sectors and regions, setting the tone for a Summit defined by insight and partnership.

With Day One complete, attention now turns to Day Two, where the Summit shifts into further focused discussions and deeper engagement across the programme.

It’s not too late to be part of the SBEA+ Summit and join the dialogue that will define the year to come.
